God To You

I am `the LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you.’ |
(Exodus 34:6-7) |
|
`I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' |
(Isaiah 48:17 NIV) |
|
`I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Don't be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up - the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, your Savior.’ |
(Isaiah 41:13 NIV) |
|
`I, even I, am He who comforts you. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.’ |
(Isaiah 51:12) |
|
`I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. I am merciful. I am with you to deliver you. With everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you. The mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’ |
(Isaiah 44:22) |

Take courage, therefore, for `my people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely, how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream. The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. At that time I will make a treaty between you and the wild animals, birds, and snakes, not to fear each other any more; and I will destroy all weapons, and all wars will end. Then you will lie down in peace and safety, unafraid; and I will bind you to me forever with chains of righteousness and justice and love and mercy. I will betroth you to me in faithfulness and love, and you will really know me then as you never have before.’ |
(Isaiah 32:18 NIV) |
|
`I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters. I will take great delight in you, I will quiet you with my love, I will rejoice over you with singing. You shall be My people, and I will be your God.' |
(2 Corinthians 6:18) |
|
`If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Before you call I will answer; while you are still speaking I will hear. So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.’ |
(Matthew 21:22) |

Dear Friend Warm greetings to you. If you have grown up thinking that God is always looking for a reason to punish you - then why would He have given His Son to be punished for you? If you have ever been given the impression that God spends His days looking for reasons to keep you out of heaven, then why would He endure such agony, and even death, trying to get you there? Our prayer is that the letter above will convince you of God's infinite kindness, and of His undying love for you. Please go ahead, right now, and open up your heart to Him - you can confide in Him about anything. He is a caring Father and a wonderful Friend. He will answer your prayers. He has always walked with you and He always will. |
