'He was born in an obscure village . . . He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty . . . He then became an itinerant preacher.'

Feature Index
Jesus Loves All People: He was like a river running through the desert. Wherever He went He left a trail of happiness, harmony and health. Even today, nobody, but nobody, is excluded from the circle of Jesus' friendship.
Jesus is a Compassionate Friend: He was not above visiting the lowliest of hovels. Even the most wretched specimens of humanity received His undivided attention and His deep felt affection.
Jesus Knows What It Means To Suffer: He came to earth with a mission - to reveal God's love to a planet of indifferent, uncaring people. This was not just any old love, but a love that was willing to suffer for others . . .
Jesus is The Great Shepherd: Even though His search for His straying sheep cost Him infinite pain - He is still looking - still wanting to take us "home," so that He can bathe our wounds and give us a new start in life.
Jesus is a Special Friend To "Sinners": Would any of your friends be willing to die in order to pay the penalty for all the wrongs you have committed? Jesus' love for you compelled Him to do just that for you.
Jesus Loves Children: He was never too busy to pay special attention to little children. He always took time to comfort the children and to counsel them regarding even their smallest of concerns.
Jesus' Character Is Extraordinary: He was not dazzled by pomp or display, nor was He moved by praise or applause. Unselfishness characterized His every move and His every motive.
Jesus Was A Portrait of Humility: Though He had infinite power at His command, He saw Himself as no more than the servant of mankind, and He spoke of Himself as the meek and lowly Lamb of God.
In The Presence Of Jesus: Nobody felt uneasy in His presence. His warmth and sincerity filled those about Him with peace and reassurance. His words of comfort filled an aching void in the hungering souls of all who heard Him.
The Every Day Life Of Jesus: His greatness lay as much in His attention to small things as it did in miraculous feats and acts of healing. His workmanship was without flaw. In everything, Jesus was a perfect example.
Jesus Waits...: What more could He have done to prove His love for you and I? He gave His life to win our friendship. He is the kindest, most compassionate, most caring friend we will ever have. He waits . . . why not put His friendship to the test?

'He was born in an obscure village... He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty... He then became an itinerant preacher. He never held an office... He never had a family or owned a house... He didn't go to college... He had no credentials but Himself... Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today He is the central figure of the human race. All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that One Solitary Life.' (Helen Steiner Rice).
'The darker and more tempestuous the night and the more perilous the way, the greater is the Shepherd's anxiety and the more earnest His search. He makes every effort to find that one lost sheep.' (COL188)
Are you, perhaps, that one lost sheep that Jesus has been patiently searching for?
